As part of a pilot project, we modelled the passenger flows in a small airport terminal. Using the CAST Terminal software, we successfully simulated the following processes:

• Baggage check-in counters
• Passport control for arriving and departing passengers
• Passport control for transfer passengers
• Baggage security check
• Retail area movements
• Waiting at the exit gates
• Checking at the exit gates

We tested different scenarios with higher passenger flows, identified bottlenecks at certain points and proposed solutions.
